Bookkeeping is a hassle. Or does it have to be?

Recently, we have completed a review of a client’s cashbook looking for details of previous transactions. What was interesting was the extreme volume of transactions that needed to be coded from 10 years ago, some 1,800 more per year on average, and that has only been increasing.

Given the volume of transactions, the complexity, and the sheer time this takes, we have recognised the need and benefit of providing a bookkeeping service to our clients to save them time and, in many cases, increase the accuracy of their data entry.

Planfarm needed to recruit a qualified person to join our corporate team. To some degree, by recruiting Purbaj to assist Planfarm in our corporate services, we have been fortunate to establish our bookkeeping offering.

Purbaj is originally from Nepal and through his own efforts and commitment he is now a resident of Australia. He completed a Master’s in Business Studies (Finance) in his own country and came to Australia in 2019, where he completed a Master’s in Professional Accounting from James Cook University, Brisbane.

Following his studies, Purbaj worked for the largest broadacre farming business in WA and he gained valuable experience in the agriculture industry, undertaking all aspects of financial accounting including, but not limited to, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, preparing monthly BAS reports, and managing profit and loss statements and balance sheets. We are very fortunate to have recruited Purbaj for his skills, initially in corporate accounting, but for his skills in delivering bookkeeping services to our clients.

Planfarm’s bookkeeping service was conservatively introduced in January this year as we were asked by a client to take over their work. Initially, we thought that the process to licensing this service would take a short time given Purbaj’s qualifications however, given the way the regulatory authorities work, it has taken much longer.

In saying that, what we have been able to deliver to date has received very positive feedback from the clients that we have worked with, somewhat on a trial basis. We thank them for their trust.
The feedback we have received is that they are relieved that their books are accurate, up-to-date, and fully reconciled. Suppliers and employees are paid accurately and on time, and BAS is lodged before the due date.

One client was so pleased with our service that they posted about it on their LinkedIn profile. “I have recently engaged Planfarm to help with bookkeeping services, so I have more time to focus on other projects. Great service. Huge relief. Give them a call”.

We now officially launch our bookkeeping service with expertise in Agrimaster, Xero, MYOB, amongst other cashbook software. We can provide personalised services that include;

  • Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
  • Setting Up Supplier Payments & Coding
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • Payroll Processing
  • BAS Lodgement

Combining our bookkeeping services with Planfarm’s well-established financial consulting advice will enhance data analysis, cash flow forecasting, and balance sheet and profit & loss statement management.

Purbaj’s passion is to assist your business by providing quality bookkeeping services. If you are finding that bookkeeping and account management are a chore, or need assistance, please consider us. We would be more than happy to assist you.

Hand over your bookkeeping to us, relax, and focus on growing your business.
