Born into a farming enterprise in Mullewa (WA), Jerome previously held an area management position within AWB. Jerome has also performed voluntary roles with the WAFarmers Grains Council and GRDC, and completed a Nuffield Fellowship. Jerome is an authorised AFS representative for dealing in grain derivatives and foreign exchange.

Andrew has worked in commodity, interest rate and FX markets since starting in cotton in the 1990’s. In 2000 he moved to WA to be part of ProFarmer Advisory Services, as the grain markets started deregulating, to provide advice to growers seeking to navigate the new situation of having to hedge and market their grain. His experience in working with growers in the cash and derivative markets lead to roles in markets with two leading agribusiness banks in Australia and then in the US . These roles involved providing hedging products in interest rates, FX and commodities with agribusiness clients. Now back in WA he is looking forward to applying this experience in assisting Planfarm clients hedge and market their grain at all levels of sophistication from cash marketing through to swaps and options.

At Horticulture New Zealand, Maria led the nationwide GoHorticulture program, collaborating with growers, schools, and communities to develop a skilled workforce. Her work spans the horticulture supply chain, driving industry-led strategies and engaging diverse stakeholders.

Danielle is an applied agricultural scientist. Starting her career in finance, she transitioned to research, completing her PhD which explored the carbon footprint analysis of broadacre livestock systems in southern Australia. As such, she has an in-depth understanding of emissions in agriculture, carbon markets and opportunities for farmers to track and reduce their own footprint. Prior to joining Planfarm, she worked at Curtin University, investigating how data and digital
technologies can improve farm productivity and profitability.
Danielle is now the manager at Planfarm TerraWise, bringing a decade of experience to the carbon advisory division of Planfarm. In this role she seeks to break down the complexities around farm emissions and carbon farming for clients, and to make use of digital technologies that enable farmers to make informed, data-driven decisions that align with their business goals. Danielle is passionate about sustainable agriculture and connecting growers to the opportunities that the rapidly growing carbon industry presents to them.

Having grown up on a family farm south of Kojonup, he went on to study commerce at UWA, then began his career in marketing in Perth. Before long he made his way back to the farm, where he developed a strong interest in sustainable land management. This led him into a career in carbon farming, where he has spent the last four years working alongside farmers and corporate ag outfits to navigate the challenges and unlock the opportunities of this emerging industry.

A passion for Earth Sciences and desire to understand the world around us drove Kate to study Geography at Swansea University. Here she gained a strong interest in the impacts of climate change, the growing need for sustainable development and effective resource management. Seeking to gain a more practical skillset to apply to these issues, Kate went on to study Earth Observation and Geoinformation Management at Edinburgh University. Here, she was introduced to the fusion of remotely sensed data, science and technology to provide unique and meaningful insights into the surrounding environment. Kate has since joined the TerraWise team as a GIS Analyst, working to deliver geospatial solutions that help drive decision making within the Carbon Farming Industry.
